Humpback whales are part of the baleen whale family and second only in size to the blue whale. Instead of teeth, they use baleen strips to filter food. The body of the whale is whale bone and the fins are formed with pieces of baleen. Simply capturing the unique features of this whale, Miklahook brings the materials full circle as they re-form one of the animals from which they came.
