Bull WalrusView more work by Fred Kingeekuk
Kingeekuk shows here that he is not only a carver of great skill, but he also has a detailed knowledge of the walrus. The hulking, dimpled shoulders indicate that this is a male, or bull, walrus. The tilt of the head and the clever use of walrus whisker for the eyes add to the realism of this carving.
